A&BS is one of the largest units within Finance & Business at Penn State. We provide essential services to students, faculty, staff, and the public – and we employ nearly 5,000 full-time, part-time, and student employees. The majority of our units offer part-time employment opportunities, commonly referred to as wage payroll positions. These jobs vary in terms of hours per day and/or hours per week. Our most common part-time positions are cashiers, culinary assistants, guest room attendants, maintenance and janitorial workers, and airport attendants. We offer a wide variety of job opportunities for students. From ushers at the Bryce Jordan Center, to a culinary assistant in one of the dining facilities, to helping residential students with their computer needs. A&BS departments provide valuable work experience for almost any major. We offer competitive wages, flexible schedules, merit increases, and resume building experiences.
